The Mesquite Soccer Academy (MSA), established in June, 2007, is Mesquite's first soccer club.  Executive Director of Operations is Martin (Marty) Rademacher, who is fulfilling a long-time dream by establishing a club for both girls and boys of our community, where they can learn to play soccer, develop better soccer skills, create better self-esteem, good citizenship, through competition and build a program that will help support the local high schools,

Coach Marty and Coach Terry Ogden coached the Girl's Varsity Soccer Team at Virgin Valley High School for the season 2007.  MSA was established, at that time, to prepare the girls for school tryouts.

After the end of the 2007 Season, it was obvious many of the girls wanted to keep the soccer season going!  Unfortunately, there weren't enough girls to make a team.  Reaching out to Moapa Valley/Overton and Beaver Dam/ Scenic, it was soon discovered there were many more girls interested in soccer.  Again, in each of these areas, there weren't enough girls to make a team, or develop a competitive program, hence "Valley Treo" was developed.

Valley Treo is the team name for the combined valleys girls' traveling competitive soccer team.   The team is registered with the Southern Utah Soccer Association (SUSA).  Competition will be with St. George on each Saturday from March 29, 2008 through May.

Within just a couple of weeks, interest in boy's soccer grew overwhelmingly.  Thus, the creation of a boy's traveling competitive soccer team, Mesquite Fire.  At this time, the team is a co-ed team, playing in the Girls U10 Division of SUSA.

The overwhelming success of the pre-registration was a result of incredible input from the three valley areas.  Wanting MSA to be successful for their youth, parents jumped into the ''deep end of the pool'', immediately!

In addition to the development of soccer skills, one of the other goals of MSA is to develop a scholarship program, for their local players.

The creation of MSA and Valley Treo has definitely built a bridge between these smaller communities.  While there will always be a healthy rivalry between the schools in their sports programs, MSA has brought these communities together, satisfying a need for their youth.

The continued success of this program is dependant on the citizens of our local communities and local businesses.  No child should be left out of this type of program because of "no money"!  Therefore, we reach out to all for help with our soccer program.  We graciously accept contributions of any size.  You will be able to contribute directly through the website, using PayPal, or mailing your contribution.

MISSION

To develop a vibrant community soccer program, for both boys and girls of all ages.
